Waterwise Landscaper
Water Corporation and Landscape Industries Association of WA (LIAWA) actively work together in the promotion of efficient water use and for over 15 years, have worked collaboratively to deliver the Waterwise Landscapers Program.
This program forms a critical approach in educating not only those who deliver landscape services, but also the general public of WA.
Criteria for Program Membership
This program is open to all LIAWA members and non-members
- It is open to any landscape business involved in design, construction or maintenance
- All employees (owners, full time/part time staff and apprentices) are encouraged to join the program by undergoing the training and assessment
- To gain endorsement, participants must complete the online training module units and attend at least one of the training workshops run by LIAWA throughout the year
The topics covered in the training manual are:
- Waterwise Plant Selection
- Waterwise Irrigation
- Waterwise Garden Bore Use
- Soils and Soil Improvement
- Mulching
- Waterwise Turf Practices
- Water Re-Use and Rainwater Harvesting
- Water Sensitive Urban Design
When landscapers meet the above criteria, the company they represent will be promoted by Water Corporation and LIAWA as a WWLP member. Their company details will be listed on the LIAWA and Water Corporation websites.
Upon endorsement, we encourage you to use the Waterwise logo as in conjunction with your own business marketing.
Complete this course or both the Waterwise Landscape and Waterwise Garden Designers courses for the same price. The endorsement is valid for two years.
