General Gardeners-Baldivis Depot
Landscape Construction All Rounder- Baldivis
LD Total is a multi-award winning landscape company specialising in landscape and irrigation design, commercial and residential construction, maintenance and residential lot packages.
We are looking for General Gardeners to join our southern suburbs works that are based out of our depot at Baldivis. These positions will look after our playgrounds, parks and streetscapes contracts. You will need to be able to work independently, be accountable for your own work and be a great communicator.
We have full time positions available for an immediate start.
Selection Criteria
- Landscape maintenance experience and/or trade qualification (working towards) in Parks & Gardens or Horticulture (preferred but not essential).
- Experience with ride on mowers, blowers, hedgers, whipper snippers, hand tools and power tools (preferred preferred but not essential).
- First Aid Certificate (an advantage).
- Traffic Management Qualification (an advantage).
- Proof of right to work in Australia.
- Strong Commitment to safe work practices.
- High level of personal work standards.
- Ability to work independently and have excellent time management skills.
- Capacity to work in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the site supervisor.
- Maintaining large turf areas with ride on mowers, whipper snippers and edgers.
- Setting up and following traffic management plans.
- Blowing down pathways.
- General tidy up and making the playground, parks and streetscapes safe.
- Documenting and reporting on equipment faults.
- Delivering a high-quality end product to exceed client’s expectations.
- Meet timelines and budgets.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Landscape Allrounder/Yard Person who is enthusiastic, has a strong work ethic, takes pride in their work, and works well in a team environment. The role will involve the maintenance of tools and inventory at our two Depots located in Baldivis and Carabooda. The position will be a Full-time role and will also require the candidate to carry out minor carpentry, landscape, plumbing and mechanical roles. A MR truck licence is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of parts and consumables
- Maintenance of supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas
- Order, distribute and deliver materials, supplies or equipment
- Installation of furniture, BBQ’s, signs
- Complete small paving, concreting, irrigation and carpentry jobs
- Operation of a truck mounted water cart
- Operation of Forklifts
- Use of compactors
Experience and Skills
- Australian MR Drivers licence (essential)
- Current forklift ticket (desirable)
- Experienced in the use of hand tools
- Time Management skills
- Carpentry, Landscape and minor mechanical skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Able to perform in a physically demanding position (including frequent heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling etc.)

We are looking for Mower Operators to join our Maintenance team working in the Northern Suburbs of Perth. You will need to be able to work with other team members and work safely in high trafficable areas.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining large turf areas with ride on mowers, whipper snippers and edgers.
- Blowing down pathways.
- Setting up and following traffic management plans.
- Setting up a safe workplace.
- Documenting and reporting on equipment faults.
- Meet timelines and follow a schedule.
